This is another of my favorite Yule/Christmas songs...not only do I love
listening to it, I love to sing along with it as well. I'm not much of a
singer anymore but there was a time in my life that I sang out loud and
strong...in choir all the way through school, in church-solos, duets, trio's...
at a local Coffee House. Wow, I haven't thought of this stuff in a long,
long time, lol. Yeah, well, we all move onward don't we?
So here are the lyrics to O Holy Night...if the words don't jive with your
particular belief system that is alright...insert the words that do. The
point for me here is to share some of the songs I love to listen to at this
time of year...and I happen to love Celtic Women. They are outstanding
artists to say the very least and the fact they are women only lends itself
to more power I say! :) Women are wise and wonderful and I love to see
them empowered.
A Big Thanks to everyone who responded to my Silent Night sharing yesterday...it means the world to me.
So...what are some of your favorite Yule/Christmas songs? Perhaps I will share them here!
I'm off the see the Doctor today...another check-up for something that
didn't work several weeks back...we are giving it another go and I am trying
to have a positive outlook here. I have a long-time Sister Friend going with
me to lend support so I will be fine I'm sure. I'm fine...nothing earth shattering going on...so please don't worry. I'd let you know if there was
something wrong.
I pray you all have a most productive and beautiful day...remember Mercury is in retrograde so take your time and enjoy the view!
All My Love and Blessings to Each of You! :)
O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of our dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
Till he appeared and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! O hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was born;
O holy night, O holy night, O night divine!
O holy night, O holy night, O night divine!
Led by the light of faith serenely beaming
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.
O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming,
Now come the wisemen from out of the Orient land.
The King of kings lay thus lowly manger;
In all our trials born to be our friends.
He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger,
Behold your King! Before Him lowly bend!
Behold your King! Before Him lowly bend!
Truly he taught us to love one another,
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Chains He shall break, for the slave is our brother.
And in His name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we!
With all our hearts we praise His holy name.
Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we,
His power and glory ever more proclaim!
His power and glory ever more proclaim!
